Warm up With Bright Colors

Brighten up your dolly's chilly days with this all season versatile outfit. Samantha started this ensemble with a periwinkle sparkle in her elastic waist, yoked bias skirt. The fully lined shell of white on white print cotton has a back velcro closure and small heart button detail on a scalloped bottom . A small shoulder bag matches the skirt fabric. She chose a bright colored, hand knitted sweater with pearlized buttons, knitted in button holes and a matching scarf. Sammy's hat is hand crocheted with an attached flower for a little flair. Once she added the dressy ivory shoes by Sophias ®, her look was complete.

Toasty Toes

Do you remember how wonderful it was to be all snuggly and warm in your footie jammies? Your dolly will feel just as snug in this pair of flannel footie jammies. She will love this bright cotten flannel print with zipper front and non-skid soles for safety when she is playing around . Halloween Fun

This Halloween outfit is just for fun, pure and simple. From the moment in the store I thought, "I can cut down that tutu for my dolls!" to the minute I finished trying the whole thing on Nellie, I've had fun. So - for those of you who like to play around with sewing - I bought tights and a tutu and cut them up to make this set. You can make at least 3 dolly tutus from one child's tutu, and at least 2 pair of doll tights from one pair of adult tights. Cut one foot 12" from the toe, slice it from the toe 8" up the middle, seam up & around your slice, and then put elastic at the waist. Poof! doll tights. Look darn cute, don't they? (If you have fray check - thanks to Linda for the help there - you can check all the edges to keep them from running.) I cut the tutu 4" from the ruffle and divided it into three pieces and used one of them. Put elastic at the waist and make a seam at the back. What you see here is one third of the tutu. Obviously, if you want a longer skirt for your doll - cut it longer than 4".

The blouse has a velcro opening in the back, the witchy hat has a band of iridescent ghosts on tulle, and I already told you about the tutu and tights. the adorable black patent shoes are by Sophia's ®

Falling Leaves

Ruthie is out in her new capri outfit enjoying our lovely North Carolina Fall days. The autumn inspired print is 100% cotton and the capris are a poly-cotton blend. The 3 piece outfit includes a puff sleeved high-waist top with velcro back closure, elastic waistband capris with cuffs to match the top and a hairband with sunflower and velcro closure. The cost of this ensemble is $14.99

Butterflys of Blue

Sandy is back home with us after visiting her cousins for a couple weeks, and she is happy to show you this fantastic ensemble. The colors are bright and stunning and the fabric is a blend of polyester and cotton with crisp body. The ruffle sleeved dress has a back velcro closure, and is trimmed with black organdy ribbon with gold running through, that matches the bow on the black velvet shoes by Sophia's® . To compliment the dress is a wristlet clutch and broad-brimmed straw hat with turquoise organdy ribbon band and bow.

Sunnyflowers

It's always fun to try a new pattern, I've been working with this one and now have it just the way I want it! This is a very nice fitting yoked, flared skirt - cut on a bias. I can't wait to try it with a plaid. The fabric is cotton/polyester blend with great body to hold out the flare. Both skirt and top have back velcro closings. the top is a treat in itself, a harvest yellow cotton single knit with eyelet detail. The sun flowers just had to be the perfect trim to bring the entire outfit together.

An Outing Dress

Thanks to Linda, a good friend of mine for sharing her very wonderful pattern for the bodice and hat. The whimsical flowered fabric is perfect to set off the special touches of tie shouldered bodice and shaped brim on the hat. The cotton fabric is embellished with black polyester satin braid, and ribbon. The dress has a back velcro closing, tacked bow, and separate tulle underskirt with an elastic waist. there's a cute handbag to go with the outfit, and it too has a braid strap and tacked bow. Aren't the shoes perfect? They are by Sophia's®, and sport black ribbon rosettes on black patent leather-look ankle straps.

If I can get Meggie to part with it, this outfit costs $20.00 and includes the dress, hat, underskirt, handbag, and shoes.

Romping Boy's Picnic

Picnic Time for Girls

The Twins arrived at my home last week, and have already made friends with all the resident 'Girls'. For her picnic outing, Debbie will wear this bright romper in red and check cotton-poly blend broadcloth. the back placket is closed with velcro and has elastic sleeves and pant legs. White patent shoes and white socks and hair bows complete the outfit. Like all sweet twins, Debbie is willing to share, and let Meggie try on her new suit. Yes - Meggie can romp with the best of the Bittys.

As you can see, the suit does fit the 18" dolls as well as the 15" Bitty Twins, or Bitty Babies - but I will caution that if you are buying it for an 18" doll to use, let me know and I will adjust the back placket a bit. Because of her longer arms, the romper was difficult to get on Meggie.

Bitty Twins Debut

I just had a pair of the Bitty Twins move in with me last week, so here they are in new outfits from the Doll Clothes Warehouse. I like the quailty of the garments the DCW produces and their prices are parent friendly. I bought a nice selection of matching sets to carry in the store, most running about $12.00 - shoes not included. This sailor set is made of cotton, both the girl's and boy's outfits are easy to dress and roomy enough not to present a challenge to young hands. Lavender Capri Set

Capri sets are so versatile; it’s no wonder that all my girls like wearing them. Jessie particularly likes lavender and is very happy to be the girl to show you these lace edged single knit capris and broadcloth top flowered of lavender toned flowers bedecked with beads. Ready to play? Sandy just moved in and was headed out to do some jump roping with the other girls when I snagged her to take pictures. Her play clothes are all made of cotton / polyester blend fabric so no ironing is needed to keep them neat looking. The slacks feature a banded waist and elastic pant legs so they’re easy to pull up out of the way for jumping or biking. There is no better way to keep cool than this polka dot top with tie neck and open elastic back. Purple sandals are by Sophia’s®, so you know they’re well made.

Sunny Side Up

Velcro closes the back. To the Ballet

Nellie is very excited to be able to show you this extraordinary, one of a kind ballet set. I hope you be pleased with not only the workmanship, but the top of the line materials I used to make this for you. The leotard is made of matte polyester taffeta. It is completely lined, and cut on a bias to add depth to the sheen of the fabric. The elastic waist tutu is made of very sheer tulle underlay with a top layer of glittered sheer tulle. I trimmed the bodice of the leotard with nylon sheer roped with faux pearls and used the same trim for her crown. To complete this lovely set, I found hard toe ballet slippers of pink satin. I will also include a pair of soft pink tights that I didn’t want to put on Nellie so that they would be in perfect shape for your dolly.

Jeans

It is hard to find a good pair of jeans for dolls. This is what I have in stock right now. The capri's are $8.99. The yellow and dark olive pairs have zippers in the fly, belt loops, elastic back and are really great quality and fit. This style also comes in a bright blue, and red. The denim capris with embroidered flowers are very cute on and have a velcro fly - and yes - those are real pockets on all the styles.

The full length denim jeans are super quality, and not bad fit, honestly I haven't found perfectly fitting jeans yet - but then every doll is a little different. Ruthie loves these. (Comparison shopping is us!) For $11.99 they have a velcro fly, set in pockets, belt loops, back top-stitched pockets and sparkles. These are worth the money.

The other jeans are not denim, but sheeting. These do fit very nicely, have fantastic detiail, and a good price of $ 7.99 (Clearance that I've passed on to you), which is why I don't bother sewing my own. Who wants to put in those gromets and zippers? Both styles have belt loops, belts, several pockets and velcro flys. In addition to these two colors, I also hav a few red and light green left.

Socks for those shoes

Yes - I do carry socks in the store. Here are a few. Colors will be on here soon. For simplicity's sake, I charge $2.99 for all the socks - all are a good buy - some are a great buy! Uh ha... the doggie sox.

Hot Pink Sun Fun

Beach time? No problem – this is the perfect outfit for sand strolling. From the flower embellished sandals by Sophia’s ®, to the perfectly sassy sun hat, Loretta is ready for the surf. The swim suit is made of lined cotton broadcloth, cut on a bias for that little extra give. As you can see on the detail photo, the suit has a back velcro closure and detailed with a pert tie.

Upsie Daisy

Ruthie is all ready for church or temple this weekend in her delicately colored sundress and shrug. I really liked this fabric and was very pleased when I found the perfect solid to go with it and wow – who could believe the shoes! Talk about everything falling into place. One of the wonderful things about these creative ventures is seeing the final product turn out so well. Now for the details – this is made of cotton and polyester blend broadcloth, with ribbon trim, velcro closures and finished seams.

This ensemble includes the dress, shrug, hair band, hand bag, and shoes for $19.00.

Summer Flowers

Here is nice little skirt and blouse that will also work nicely for mixing & matching. The cotton-polyester blend fabric has wonderful body and a very pretty purple rose print. Trim fabric,(It's a very intense dark purple - even if it does look blue.) also cotton-polyester blend has a little sparkle to it, to bring out the fancy in any doll who wants to dress up a bit. Velcro closes the back of the blouse; the skirt has an elastic waist. Small faux jeweled flowers are blooming around the neckline. Lavender sandals with a bow are included in this outfit, unless I find the sandals I really want to use, in which case, I change the detail and give you a choice. ;)

Theme: Horses

My first thought was – horses = western / prairie look so I make the tiered skirt & gaucho sets with interchangeable blouses and reversible vest. Then – I thought maybe the girls were really just into the horse theme, not particularly western, so I got the color choices from you and went with a cute summer look with tops & switchable bottoms. I used the four buttons I have on each set; just pining them on. I can also make hair bands or tote bags if you would like them for the outfits.

I only had the one remnant of fabric with a horse print that was at all suitable, so made the top I used with the gouchos, but it could just as well be used with some of the jeans in the store or the white capris.

So… just let me know if either of these sets is what you had in mind. I’ll sew the buttons on what ever set or garments you would like. I’ll have your choices in the shop the day after I hear from you.

Lovely Blue

You'll like this dressy capri set with it's handkerchief top and sporty shoes. Blue challis petite print pairs nicely with the heavier white pique in the capris. The top is a polyester/cotton blend with a back velcro closure. The capri's are cotton with an elastic waist and contrast cuffs. The set also includes a sling sack for all those goodies a girl needs to carry.
