Bright Floral dress for 18" American Girl dolls

Mari went out to the garden this morning after we came back from Sunday Services to show you this bright dress of turquoise and floral cotton print with a touch of gilt. Heavy with detail and a hemline ruffle, this dress is perfect for Church, shopping, parties, or visiting on that special occasion. Mari's sleeveless dress has a lined bodice, closes in the back with velcro, trimmed with ribbon, buttons and beads, has a separate waist ribbon with a secured bow and vlecro. Her pumps are satin with a large gem attached. 


Mari's Dress comes with a plastic head band, bead-on-elastic bracelet, and black satin pumps for $24.00.  If you prefer not to purchase the pumps, the cost is $18.00 - just drop me a note. 

Party Pleasing Dress

Is your dolly one of those always getting invited to parties, and simply out of dresses? Loretta wanted to show you one of her favorite party pretties.  This dress is light yellow cotton voile dotted swiss completely lined (except for the sleeves) with yellow cotton broadcloth. The trim is cotton-polyester eyelet  under daisies and poly satin ribbon.

The back closes with velcro, has a secured bow with an option to add a larger clippie bow (included) as desired. Sleeves are gathered into elastic and also trimmed with eyelet and satin ribbon.  Though very delicate and dressy in appearance, this garment is sewn for children's use and is sturdy in construction.  Also included in this set is an organdy head band secured at the nape with velcro and lovely white patent look pumps.

Little Green Shamrocks

What a perfect time of the year to celebrate the green of clover and spring!  This fabric is simply an inspiration with it's dusting of gold glitter over emerald and grass green shamrocks.  I paired it with bright green pin dots to make a 2-piece dress of tiered skirt and peasant style blouse.  The blouse has a banded neck and sleeve finish, back velcro closure, and tiny ribbon bow embellishment.  Your dolly will also like to wear this blouse later in the season when she pulls out her white capris or cut off jeans and flip flops

The full tiered skirt of layered fabric, ribbon and rick-rack has an elastic waist.  I also made a large hair bow to match the removable sash, and ruffle on the skirt.  The ribbon on the hair bow has a wired edge, so you will be able to keep the bow nice and fresh looking. 


Slip on white patent look shoes are included with this outfit of blouse, skirt, & hair bow for $ 21.00.  If you don't need the shoes, let me know and I will be glad to reduce the cost by $6.00.

Sweet Little Shamrocks

Is your dolly looking for a little shamrock luck to add to her spring wardrobe?  The dress that Meggie is wearing is made of a cotton fabric sprinkled with delicate shamrocks and lightly glittered in gold.  Emerald green beads are stitched at the neckline and matching ribbon highlights the slightly raised waistline.  The grosgrain bow at the back is secured to stay in a perfect tie. A Rosy Little Nightgown

Meggie is wearing a very snuggly 100% cotton flannel nightgown with long sleeves, elastic at the wrist, bound neckline and flounce at the hemline.  The trim is polyester rick rack that won't fade or shrink and bright pink flower buttons.  I also made a matching elastic hair wrap that can double as a scrunchie - or belt I suppose.  (I'm always amazed at the creative fashion sense of my little grand daughter.) The back of the nightie closes with velcro. Included are fuzzy mule scuffs with an elastic heel band to hold them in place.

Hopping into bed

I've had some request for flannel night wear, so I have a couple completed and will be posting them this week end.  Here is Miss Addy in a set of fun froggy pajamas and fuzzy mule slippers. The fabric ans 100% cotton flannel with pink polished cotton flat piping.  The pj top closes in the front with vlecro and bright buttons, the pants have an elastic waist all around. Addy wanted a hair wrap, so I made an elastic band with frog button. The wrap is shown as a hair band but can also be used as a scrunchie.
