Mix & Match Fun

If your dollies are like mine, they love a little mix & match change up for fun.  This outfit has two very different looks.  The soft white cotton knit cap sleeve t-shirt has periwinkle lace floral appliques, a full back opening, and velcro closure.  I also made a pair of mossy green and periwinkle print capris with a matching applique and elastic waist.  To round out that outfit there's a cute little hairband with a fabric flower.  When Loretta wants a change of pace, she can use the same clogs, but put on a great 3-pleat skirt & head band that really give the shirt a different look.

Spring is Made for Green

If it's spring, I inevitably want to sew something springy green.  The amazing ladies at CreateKidsCouture developed this wonderful pattern that I fully intend to overuse!  I made the skirt in my version a little longer than theirs, and added a velcro closure and secured bow to the back so that little fingers will have an easier time of dressing their dollies. If you prefer a full back opening to the elastic back waist, let me know and I can try that the next time I cut this pattern.

Audrey's dress is 100% cotton, with a double layer skirt with hiked side flounce.  As I said, the back fastens with velcro and has an elastic  back waist.  Her head band is plastic.  Beads and tiny buttons embellish the dress, though securely attached, I do not recommend this dress for toddlers for this reason. I will be glad to remove them if you wold like that done.

The Beauty of Check

I really like the way this dress turned out.  A simple sleeveless dress of bias cut checks in a medium weight cotton will fill several wardrobe needs.  I used a  floating belt of woven trim red poppies, a red mesh tulle slip, red jewelry and hairband to accent this dress today, but you can choose your favorite color of ribbons or beads to give it a totally different look.  The dress is hand hemmed, has a full back opening, velcro closure and lined bodice.  The tulle slip has a polyester yoke and elastic waist.

Sweets for Spring

Look at this sweet dress for a bright spring day!  Light weight cotton cupcakes and pindots will be perfect for an end of school dress for your dolly.  Based on a Pixie Faire pattern, this dress has a full back opening, velcro closure, secured bow and lined bodice.  I also made a fabric covered plastic hair band.  The metallic bow pumps from Sophia's® are a stunning match.

Warm Weather Ensemble

Is your dolly ready for all the warm weather occasions?  She might like this very versatile set in her closet.   The skirt, shrug cardigan and t-shirt are all based on wonderful Liberty Jane / Pixie Faire patterns.  The cardigan is made of polyester single knit; the t-shirt of a cotton single knit with delicate surface glitter has a full back opening and velcro closure.  I love the skirt!  It is made of rayon cotton blend with a gold mesh underlay, and an elastic waist.  Satin flowers grace the top, skirt and hair clips.  The lovely pumps by WDC are custom designed to match the neutral colors of the rest of the ensemble.  While these garments & shoes are great together, I'll bet your dolly will find they mix well with other tops or bottoms looking for a change up in her wardrobe.

Uniquely Pretty

If your dolly is looking for a unique dress that will just set her apart - here is a treat for her!  This popular pink and black daisy print is styled into a full, hand hemmed skirt and bright ruffled bodice, which is fully lined.  The tulle underskirt closes in the back with velcro, and like the dress, also has a full back opening for ease of dressing.  The waist and head band accents are self fabric appliques that really set this outfit off. Audrey is wearing faceted black crystal beads with a lobster clasp and bracelet on stretchy mono-filament.  Black velvet, bow strap pumps are the perfect finishing touch for Audrey's new outfit.

Put on your sunglasses, because this dress is really bright!  Cupcakes and sprinkles are the theme of this very warm weather cotton dress.  Based on a "Pixie Faire" pattern, this dress features a fully lined bodice, lined skirt with lime lace trim, a full back opening and velcro closure.  The polyester trim has a bit of it's own sparkle and is firmly attached. To complete this sprightly outfit, we chose a pair of lime green bow flats.
