This lovely gown, reminiscent of the revolutionary period, is made of cotton broadcloth and trimmed in lace and ribbon. The apron, small shawl, and mob cap, and petticoat are made of cotton, unbleached muslin. You can even take your doll to the re-enactments this summer because the outfit does not contain any elastic or velcro. So, while it is historically accurate, it would frustrate young children who are not adept at tying bows. If you intend this outfit for a small one, please let me know and I’ll be glad to replace the ties with velcro or elastic as needed.
